Where work sits on or near a shared boundary, the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 can also apply, separately from any planning permission needed for the barrier itself.
It will occasionally cost you a job.
The report is honest. If a fence will not help, it says so. You will lose the odd sale — and win the ones where the customer was going to walk anyway, because you were the firm that told them the truth. Trust closes more jobs than optimism.
And it usually specifies returns.
Because it is modelled properly, the design nearly always calls for short returns down each side of the fence. That is more linear metres than you would otherwise have quoted — and now it is justified by an acoustic assessment, not a hard sell.

Reports beyond your allowance are charged at the consumer price plus a trade premium. Nothing requiring a site visit is sold through a plan — measured surveys are quoted individually and referred out.
All prices are the total you pay each month. ACOUSTAPLOT LTD is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added and there is nothing to reclaim.
