Accessibility statement

This statement applies to noise.acoustaplot.com and the reports it generates. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this site, check an address, and read their report.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is our target, not a claim that every page has been independently audited against the full standard. Where we have found and fixed specific issues -- for example low-contrast text, overlapping labels, or a focus state that was hard to see -- we have done so as we found them, rather than waiting for a single big audit. If you find something that falls short, we would genuinely like to know (see below).

Parts of the site that are harder to use

Some parts of AcoustaPLOT are inherently visual or interactive, and we know these are harder to use with a screen reader or keyboard alone:

  • the interactive map used to find or pin a property on the free address check;
  • the scroll-driven diagrams and animated scenes used to illustrate how noise reaches a garden or how a barrier is designed, on the tier product pages;
  • the interactive 3D site view.

Every report's actual findings -- the figures, the rating, the plain-English explanation -- are also always available as ordinary text and tables, not locked inside a diagram, specifically so the result itself does not depend on any of the above being usable.

Language

AcoustaPLOT, its reports, and its legal notices are provided in English only. We do not currently offer translated versions of the site, a report, or the contract you enter into when you buy one. If English-language support would help you use this service, please contact us (below) and we will do what we reasonably can.

Alternative formats

If you need any part of this site or a report in a different format -- for example large print, or a plainer text version of a report's figures -- contact us and we will do what we reasonably can to help.

Reporting an accessibility problem

We are still improving the accessibility of this site. If you find a problem not listed here, or you cannot access any part of it, email noise@acoustaplot.com and tell us the page and what happened. We will aim to respond within 5 working days.

Enforcement procedure

AcoustaPLOT is a private service, not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us directly. We have chosen to follow the same WCAG 2.2 AA target voluntarily, because it is the right thing to build towards.
