None of them model the terrain, the buildings actually in the way, or what a barrier at that specific property would achieve. That's the part a decision you're putting your name behind needs to be able to draw on, and it's the part a bare lookup was never built to do.
A calculation, not a lookup.
Some noise APIs return a figure pulled from a national map — the same number whether you're checking a flat above a shop or a cottage at the end of a lane. That's priced like a lookup, typically a fraction of a penny per call. What you get here is different: for this specific address, we model the real terrain between the property and every significant road nearby, the buildings actually in the way, and the physics of how that sound propagates and diffracts — using CRTN 1988 and ISO 9613-2, the same standards basis a human acoustic consultant works from (see how our barrier calculation deliberately differs from the older Maekawa convention some consultants still use). Railways are assessed alongside roads using CRN 1995's distance/speed/frequency screening method.
The alternative to this isn’t a cheaper API. It’s a decision made without it — or a client instructing a consultant directly, which can often run into the £800–£2,500 range for the same question answered on one property. Against that, this isn’t the expensive option. It’s the cheap one.

Reports beyond your allowance are charged at the consumer price plus a trade premium. Nothing requiring a site visit is sold through a plan — measured surveys are quoted individually and referred out. Platform/API integrations are scoped individually — see “Talk to us” above.
