Before you buy

What you actually get

Every report is generated from the same real datasets described on our methodology page. Below is a worked example for each of the four report tiers, so you can see exactly what you'll receive before you check your own property.

⚠️ Illustrative example only. “123 Example Street, Sampletown” (below) is a fictional address used to demonstrate report format — it is not a real property or a real result. The screenshots further down are AcoustaPLOT's own public demo account — real report pages, watermarked “DEMO · NOT FOR ISSUE”, not a real customer's data.
1. Property header

123 Example Street, Sampletown · Report generated 26 September 2026 · Tier: Noise Risk Screening

2. Headline risk band
MODERATE-HIGH (55–60 dB Lden / 45–50 dB Lnight)

Approaching SOAEL; adverse effects on sleep and concentration.

3. What's driving the number

Defra Strategic Noise Map, A34 corridor — so you can see it's not a black box.

4. What this doesn't tell you

This is a modelled prediction, not a site measurement — the same honest framing used throughout the rest of the site. It gives you a well-evidenced starting point, not a substitute for a site-measured survey where one is legally or professionally required.

5. Suggested next step

For a MODERATE-HIGH result or above, the report points you toward Acoustic Barrier Design to see what a fence or glazing upgrade would actually achieve. Not sure which report is right for you? Use the two-question picker on pricing.

Screening — what the real report looks like

The structural walkthrough above uses a fictional address so every label is visible at once. Below are real screens from AcoustaPLOT's own public demo account, showing exactly the same report in its real layout.

Your risk band and headline dB figures, as a certificate-style result.
Where your result sits against the WHO and NPSE SOAEL/UAEL reference points.
A noise-map schematic showing the source and distance behind the number.
What's included at this tier
  • Noise risk band for your address
  • Lden & Lnight at your property
  • Familiar sound comparisons
  • Indoor estimate vs BS 8233
  • Delivered as a branded PDF in seconds
£99 / report

Insight — what you get beyond Screening

Everything in Screening, plus an audio simulation and a garden-level view of how the noise actually falls across your plot — the two things people ask for once they already know their risk band.

Aerial site preview alongside the same certificate-style risk result.
Garden noise, as it actually falls across your plot — an aerial heat-map overlay unique to this tier.
Your number against sounds you already know — library, conversation, busy road.
What's included at this tier
  • Everything in Screening
  • Audio simulation — hear it before you buy
  • Aerial view with noise overlay
  • 24-hour 'day in the life' profile
  • Shareable report link
£349 / report

Barrier Design — the fix, not just the finding

Everything in Insight, plus a real ISO 9613-2 acoustic barrier design: a recommended fence height, a permitted-development note, and the modelled reduction at a few candidate heights so you can weigh cost against benefit before you commit to building anything.

Your plot boundary, traced automatically, alongside the certificate-style result.
The ISO 9613-2 barrier design itself: recommended height, a permitted-development note, and the modelled reduction at a few candidate heights with indicative cost.
Indoors at night — what your windows are doing to the number, and what upgrading them would change.
What's included at this tier
  • Everything in Insight
  • ISO 9613-2 acoustic barrier design
  • Modelled fence height, length & position
  • Interactive model + acoustic shadow visual
  • Matched acoustic fencing product options
£499 / report

Complete — spend, risk, and leverage in one place

Everything in Barrier Design, plus a ranked plan for where to spend first, a real traffic-growth projection (and nearby developments/road schemes wherever that data is connected), and the research-backed negotiation context — for when the number needs to do more than just inform you.

Your site boundary and certificate-style result, same as every tier.
Mitigation, ranked by what to spend first — secondary glazing, acoustic glazing, an acoustic barrier, each with modelled benefit and indicative cost.
The full headline strip this tier adds, including Worst Hour — not shown on the other three.
What's included at this tier
  • Everything in Barrier Design
  • Mitigation options plan with indicative costs
  • Future-risk check: traffic-growth projection, plus developments & road schemes where connected
  • Negotiation context — what the research says
  • Priority order: where to spend first

How sure are we?

Every result comes with a confidence range, not just a single number — because real-world noise depends on things like exact traffic flow on the day, which a modelled prediction can't capture perfectly. Where your result sits within its risk band matters: a result right at the boundary between MODERATE and MODERATE-HIGH is worth treating as the more cautious of the two, especially if you're borderline on whether to get an Acoustic Barrier Design report.
